Audio Video Design, Inc. was incorporated in 1994 to provide a cost-effective alternative to expensive teleprompter software and hardware products.

Our first low cost teleprompter products were Amiga-based, and were replaced by DOS and Windows systems in 1995. Our first NAB appearance was that year, and we showed the world's first Windows 3.1-based teleprompter software.

Other milestones in AVD's history:

	NAB 1997: Introduced the AV10 Flatscreen Color teleprompters, the first high-brightness lightweight camera portable teleprompter based on LCD flatscreen technology
	NAB 1998: Introduced EasyReader™ Win teleprompter software running under Windows 95/98. This was true 32-bit software that loaded double-byte fonts and scrolled them ultra-smooth
	NAB 2000: Introduced the AV12 and AV15 with high-bright monitors manufactured by AVD in our local facility, and introduced EasyReaderLITE™, the preferred software in educational applications
	NAB 2002: Introduced a mid-priced line of flatscreen teleprompters, the CV line, while still increasing brightness levels for our HighBright teleprompter line
	NAB 2004: Introduced dual-screen teleprompter software, which mirrors VGA output, but leaves the operator's monitor heads-up. We also introduced EasyReader NewsRoom™ which allows story editing while scrolling
	NAB 2006: Introduced complete closed captioning support for our Pro and NewsRoom software
	NAB 2007: Introduced our 1Prompter™ teleprompter hardware and software products, combining 1Prompt™, the world's most powerful teleprompter software, with a revolutionary new mounting system, to provide the best value in the business
